Enable audio with vmware
Windows 7 and 2008 R2:

A. Click Run in the menu Start, then type services.msc and click OK. Now the Services management console will open.
B. In the Services window scroll to the service Windows Audio and open it. In the Windows Audio Properties (Local Computer) window select Automatic as Startup type, click Apply, then click Start to start the Windows Audio service. Close the properties window by clicking OK.
  1. Click Start > Run, type mmc, and click OK.
  2. Add the Group Policy Object Editor snapin.
  3. Expand Local Computer Policy.
  4. Expand Computer Configuration.
  5. Expand Administrative Templates.
  6. Expand Windows Components.
  7. Expand Remote Desktop Services.
  8. Expand Remote Desktop Session Host.
  9. In Device and Resource redirection, enable Allow Audio and Video Playback Redirection.
  10. Restart the virtual machine.

Server Manager -> Local Server -> Manage -> Add roles and features

Next -> Role based -> Next -> Next -> Remote desktop Services -> Remote Desktop Licensing -> Next -> Next -> Install

 

Control panel -> Administrative tools -> Remote Desctop Services -> Remote desktop Licensing Manager

Right click on server -> Activate server

You can also specify a license server for the RD Session Host server to use by applying the Use the specified Remote Desktop license servers Group Policy setting. This Group Policy setting is located in Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Licensing and can be configured by using either the Local Group Policy Editor or the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC). Note that the Group Policy setting takes precedence over the license servers configured in Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration.
